WHO IS DAN JONES?
30+ Years experience in power boats, sailing, yacht racing and paddle sports. 20 years working as a new & used boat salesman in Sydney where we average 6 days per week, 12 months of the year on the water operating boats of all types. Personally sold and delivered over 450 sailing and power boats where I coached each new owner on the operation and safe boat handling techniques I’ve developed over the years.
It’s only called Dans Boat Life because I couldn’t think of another name as the real purpose of this channel is to improve YOUR Boat Life.
Aside from boating my other passions and interests include, hiking & trail running, aviation, military history, submarines, swimming, rockets, mums food, and I also love to watch YouTube videos of boats going through big waves at Haulover Inlet and planes doing crosswind landings on windy days.
WHY AM I DOING THIS?
I’m on a mission to educate, entertain, and encourage as many people as possible to enjoy their best boat life.
My content is unbiased, knowledgeable, and uninfluenced by the pressure to sell advertising and pay salaries. YouTube has given me a unique opportunity to share what I learn about all the awesome boats I encounter on my travels which will hopefully help you piece together your next boat purchase or give you the confidence to put your toe in the water and give boat life a try for the first time.
